ROADWORKS COMING TO AN END

With the Metro Northwest fast-approaching, roads to accommodate the stations have also been upgraded / modified. The major intersection at Norwest Marketown (Norwest Boulevard and Brookhollow Avenue) is now a fully working set of traffic lights. With two lanes each way on Norwest Boulevard, and a dedicated turning lane, the busy boulevard serves as a thoroughfare for all traffic through the business park, and for commuters between Windsor Road (Castle Hill) to Old Windsor Road (Glenwood). The opening of the signalised intersection reflects another significant milestone, and augurs well for the impending of the Norwest station in the second quarter.

Director Grant Beaumont said:

“The train line has been a long-time coming: both in contemplating and construction. Upgrading Norwest Boulevard was essential to ensure access to the station is easy and the traffic lights at the intersection will no doubt promote the free-flow of traffic through the Park. These major infrastructure projects are transformative. Norwest Business Park is establishing itself as an exciting destination for residents and visitors, not just workers. Having said that, we anticipate its popularity as a centre of commerce will only increase.”
